Dr. James E. Byers is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a firm believer in continuing education and recently received certification in Invisalign Orthodontics, laser surgery and implant restorations. His experience and training translate into the most up-to-date and thorough treatments for patients.
Dr. Byers graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Ma. with a B.A. in biology and obtained a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Unversity of Pennsylvania. He and his staff conduct annual dental health screenings for elementary schools in Freetown, Berkley and Dighton, MA.
Dr. Byers enjoys reading, golfing and travel with his family. He is a resident of Assonet, Ma.

Michelle “Mitch” Borges, the office manager, has been helping patients with affordable payment plans for 27 years at Woodside Dental Care. Always pleasant and fun, Mitch helps patients with financial arrangements. She works with Care Credit and various benefit insurance plans to make sure that a patient’s dental and financial needs are met.
Denise Dussault has been the treament coordinator at Woodside Dental Care for 12 years. Denise helps patients schedule convenient appointments to fit their busy lives. Denise prides herself on well-planned visits.
Linda Shepardson (CDA) has a degree in dental assisting from the Diman Regional Vocational Technical program. She has practiced assisting for 25 years, 20 of which have been at Woodside Dental Care. She is an expert at making the dental experience comfortable and stress-free. In case you forget your iPod, Linda will supply you with a diskman and CDs to keep your visit relaxing.
Monique Currier (RDH) is also a graduate of the Bristol Community College dental hygiene program. She too is a proud member of the American Dental Hygienists’ and Massachusetts Dental Hygiene Associations. Monique has worked in the practice for 24 years.
Kim Amaral (RDH) received her degree in dental hygiene from Bristol Community College. She has worked at Woodside Dental Care for 8 years and is a proud member of the American Dental Hygienists’ and Southeastern Dental Hygiene Associations.
Dr Byers and his staff are certified in CPR, have weekly meetings to continue their professional education and are actively improving plans to comfortably treat patients.
